Former chief minister and NCP president Radhabinod Koijam stood third. Yamthong Haokip of Congress won the Saikul assembly seat defeating his nearest NCP rival Doukhomang Haokip by over 200 votes. Abdul Nasir of Congress won the Lilong seat defeating Trinamool Congress nominee Md Alaudin. Trinamool Congress candidate K Sarat Singh won the Kongthoujam assembly seat defeating Congress nominee S Ranjan by over 500 votes. Amin Shah of Congress won the Khetrigao assembly seat defeating his nearest NCP rival Th Nandakishore by over 200 votes. State Congress chief Gaikhangam won the pretigious Nungba seat defeating Manipur State Congress Party candidate Admi Panmei by over 3,000 votes. Lok Jana Sakti Party candidate Karam Shyam defeated veteran Manipur People Party leader O Joy in the prestigious Langthabal assembly seat by over 700 votes. Joy had represented the seat for over five terms. Congress candidate and Social Welfare minister N Loken won the Nambol seat defeating former union sports minister Th Chaoba Singh of Manipur People’s Party by over 900 votes. Forest Minister and Congress candidate, Th Debendra Singh won the Jiribam seat defeating A Biren of Trinamool Congress by over 2000 votes. Debendra Singh has been representing the constituency for over five terms. Congress candidate Kh Debendra won the Sekmai assembly seat defeating Trinamool Congress nominee Kh Dingo Singh by over 600 votes. Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) candidate Karam Thamarjit Singh won the Keirao seat defeating Minority minister Alaudin of Congress by over 500 votes. PTI
