For one man, Kejriwal's actions could save his marriage

Kejriwal’s first janta darbar on Saturday ended in chaos. The chief minister had to leave the meeting with ordinary people mid-way and ask for calm and peace from the roof of the Delhi Secretariat. Many who had come in hope of finding a solution to their problems had to leave disappointed. One man who wanted to meet Kejriwal in particular was Mukesh Yadav. For Yadav, a chance to talk to Kejriwal would mean a chance at saving his marriage. According to a Times of India report, “Yadav had been working with BSES since 2007, but lost his contractual job last year without prior notice due to which his wife left him.” [caption id=“attachment_1334931” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Arvind Kejriwal at the janta darbar. Yadav told the paper, “The salary increased after some years, but last year my boss told me that I was not needed any more.” Yadav however is not the only contractual worker who had turned up at the Delhi’s CM Janta Darbar. The Delhi Chief Minister had on Saturday admitted in a press conference that nearly 90 percent of those who had attended the Darbar were contract workers and that issue could not be resolved overnight. He said at the conference, “90 percent of people out there were contract labours. This is a policy issue. I will be writing a note to all the government departments on Monday and see whether these people can’t be given permanent jobs.”
