With the country remaining witness to violent behaviour at the Maruti Suzuki campus at Manesar in Haryana recently leading to the murder of a human resources manager manager by workers, a Honda official said that new investments will be tough if industrial climate remains unfriendly.
“We are not moving out of Haryana yet,” a Honda official told CNBC-TV18, on the condition of anonymity.
But in a caveat, the official said, “If labour unrest continues, tough to carry on in Haryana.”
The official said that the permanent workers get an average of Rs 30,000 per month and efforts are on to accommodate to absorb contract workers on company rolls. The Haryana government is informed of every move, the official said.
“About 5 percent workers create nuisance. Unrest happens because of political under-currents,” the official told CNBC-TV18.
