Sebi starts awareness campaign to enable investors take informed decisions

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has initiated an investor awareness campaign with an objective to educate new investors who are likely to fall prey to unscrupulous manipulators. This is significant given the rising number of financial frauds and Ponzi schemes in the country’s financial sector. Fraudsters find it easy to fool the ill-informed investor who wants to make a quick buck. They promise high returns from small investments that too in short duration of time.
