The gothic heritage housewas originally built in 1859.The house stood empty for the next 14 years after its last domestic owner Ernest Olivier died in 1965, after which it was regularly used as a film set for Hammer Horror films, because it was next to Bray studios.

Oakley Court was put on the block earlier this year

Due to its gothic structure, it wasused as a film set for Dracula and as Frank-N-Furter’s castle in the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show and the school in St Trinian’s. More recently it was home to several members of Team GB during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Oakley Court, which has a nine-hole golf course, 118 bedrooms, including 11 luxury suites, and extensive meeting and conference facilities, was put on the block by its administrators in June 2013 .

“We won’t convert it into a hotel but will use it for our company headquarters in UK. The property is spread over 40 acres of land and is one of UK’s most iconic gothic buildings,” Roy was quoted as saying by TOI.
