The One Hyde Park development in London’s swanky Knightsbridge neighbourhood made history once again, with one of its unfinished penthouses being scooped up for an astonishing 140 million ($237 million). Media reports suggest that the deal could make Penthouse D the most expensive expensive apartment in the world. Though mind-boggling, the number isn’t that far from the price tag of another penthouse in the same complex, sold for 136 million (approx $226 million) earlier. The building’s uber-high value and exclusivity can be gauged from the fact that all the windows of this apartment building are made of bullet-proof glass.
Business Insider has termed the apartment complex the most expensive in the world, with total sales adding up to $3.37 billion so far. Image: Representational image taken from One Hyde Park website[/caption]
