Chai pe charcha to drums and flute: How Modi floored Japan

But, the Japan visit was not just about building ties–we saw an interesting side to our Prime Minister too! Here are some of the cool things the PM did during his Japan visit. Chai pe charcha: Modi enjoyed a cup of green tea next to Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during a tea ceremony in Japan. The special gesture was Abe’s way of showing affection to the visiting leader, keeping in with the Japanese tradition ‘Chanoyu’ prevalent since the 16th century.
