From doling out Chelsea FC jerseys to giving free passes for a secret
advance screening of Ant Man , and giving
rides on supercars to providing you with some
puppy love , Uber’s PR machine has been in fifth gear for long. Now uber is back to with more goodies for you to lure you for a ride, this time it’s ice cream. Just set in your location and order an ice cream on the app. Uber will be charging Rs 200 for 2 pieces of ice cream in Mumbai, according to their website. Uber seems to have stepped up its ‘do-good’ activities in the recent past. This could be due the amount of flak Uber has been
facing, with allegations of sexual harassment, bad-behaviour on the driver’s part and their money-making strategies. The ice-cream deliveries too seem to be another PR stunt by the cab aggregator service. But Uber has to understand, better service, good drivers and a more efficient complaints redressal system would go a longer way in improving their image than puppies or ice cream.
