Microsoft unveils preview of Skype for Business for iOS and Android

In a blog post by Jared Goralnick, principal group program manager for the Skype for Business team, Microsoft announced the preview of new Skype for Business apps for iOS and Android. Skype for Business, through the new apps, features a dashboard for navigation of contacts, calls and meetings, and an updated In-Call and In-Meeting experience. It also features handy tools like a contact search bar, an upcoming appointment viewing calendar, recent conversation viewer and a Quick Join icon the meeting right away.

The In-Call and In-Meeting experience has been modified to make it easier to navigate calls and meetings on the mobile phone or tablet. It now has larger buttons, video that fills the screen and easy navigation between video and content.

Users with Lync 2013 on their iOS or Android device will get the Skype for Business app as an update later this year. Skype for Business mobile apps work for anyone on Lync Server 2013, Skype for Business Server 2015 and Skype for Business Online.
