Mahindra rolls out Bolera Maxi Truck plus for Rs 4.3 lakh

Mahindra rolls out Bolera Maxi Truck plus for Rs 4.3 lakh

Mumbai: Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today rolled out a new variant of its pick-up vehicle, Bolero Maxi Truck Plus, which has been priced at Rs 4.33 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) to further consolidate its dominant position in the segment and tap the increasing needs of the urban goods transportation.

“The Bolero Maxi Truck Plus has been developed on Mahindra’s rugged Bolero Pick-up platform and is conceptualised to cater to the needs of urban goods transportation,” Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Automotive Division Chief Executive Pravin Shah said here.

Powered by the 2523 cc common rail BS4 compliant engine, the new offering comes with best in class fuel mileage of 17.7 km per litre. Besides, it also offers the higher payload capacity of 1150 Kg and larger 40.6 sq ft cargo box, he added.

“We have recognised the city congestion what we all see and how to be more fuel efficient and how to manoeuvre in the lanes and by lanes of the small cities. So considering all these aspects, we have built-in the best in this product offering. Also, the new product is appropriately priced as the product will enable the customer to recover more than one he pays for (it),” Shah said.

The company had launched its Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck, the pick-up vehicle last year. The company sold nearly 1.03 lakh units in the last fiscal in the 2-3.5 tonne pick-up segment against 73,000 vehicles in FY12.
