Wary of Kingfisher Airlines tickets lying with them, travel portals have evolved an unique way to get rid of them, albeit it means laying a booby trap for the passengers.

Adopting a business strategy called opaque fares, travel portals announces surprisingly cheap fares for different sectors luring the money conscious passengers to fall for it. As it turns out the tickets are of Kingfisher Airlines, a report in The Economic Times said today .

With the International Air Transport Association banning Kingfisher Airlines from directly selling tickets on travel portals, the agencies have found this method to sell the tickets and keep their losses to the minimum.

The method, however, complicates the matter for the passengers. With the uncertainty prevailing with the Kingfisher flights of late, passengers suffer more from anxiety than chilling over the cheap deal that they got, The Economic Times report said .

Kingfisher Airlines is currently flying 100 flights with 16 planes.
