Mumbai’s foodies can rejoice as global donut giant Dunkin’ Donuts makes its much awaited debut in the city today.
Promising to help customers get their mojo back, the Jubilant FoodWorks backed chain opened two stores in Mumbai’s Linking Road and Kurla neighbourhoods. The new stores mark the entrance of the chain in western India, following a fairly successful few years of operation in Delhi.
According to a Business Today report , Jubilant is eyeing about 25 Dunkin’ Donut India stores this year and 500 over the next 15 years. The stores will soon begin a home delivery service, the article states.
“We are encouraged by the appreciation Dunkin’ Donuts received from consumers right from the time we opened our first restaurant in Delhi. In 2014, we plan to expand beyond North India and start the journey of taking Dunkin’ Donuts national,” Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks is quoted saying in The Hindu Business Line.
Jubilant also operates the popular pizza chain Domino’s.
