Mumbai Metro leak floods Twitter after season's first real downpour

After services finally began, the hype around the Mumbai Metro came crashing down on Twitter after the city experienced its first proper rainfall of the season on Monday.

One of the coaches sprung a leak, prompting unlucky commuters to vent their frustration on social media.

From the looks of this video, it wasn’t a steady trickle either.

It also didn’t take long for the memes to spring up.

Stung by the criticism, Metro authorities took to Twitter to defend the quality of the trains and services and said the problem was only with one train.

But finally the authorities did apologise.
