It has cameras, and lungs, and can fire deadly arrows. It has also been arrested by Hamas. What could it be? Yes, you guessed it right — a dolphin. [caption id=“attachment_2400978” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
Wonder how these pretty creatures can spy? Getty Images[/caption] The dolphin was apparently doing something ‘suspicious’, according to a Palestinian newspaper, due to which Hamas commanders were alerted to its (otherwise inconspicuous) presence. The weirdest news though, is that the dolphin had a device capable of firing deadly arrows. Another report, this one in the The Times of Israel
, said that it was equipped with spying equipment.
Isreal’s defence radio
said that the dolphin was captured off the Gaza coast several weeks ago. A third source, Israel Today
, said that the dolphin was dragged onto a beach for inspection. There was no confirmation about the dolphin’s fate. It’s not the first time Israel’s secret service Mossad has been accused of using animals to spy. The Independent
says that Turkish media had alleged that Israel sent birds to spy, and Egypt has blamed them for sending controlled sharks to attack tourists in the Red Sea.
