After making cars available at the touch of a button, taxi-service app Uber is upping its game this weekend, 14-15 June.
Uber customers in Bangalore and Mumbai can use the app to book a helicopter ride, yes a chopper ride, around the city.
According to the company : “By requesting UberCHOPPER, a private driver will transport you to the helipad, where you’ll take off directly for an aerial tour of the city’s iconic places and then to a sumptuous brunch, all in style! "
On the given day, customers can simply selectUberCHOPPER in the lower menu of theUberapp and press the black bar that reads “Request CHOPPER”.
The cost of the quirky experience is Rs 4,999/- for two people, with chopper rides lasting between 20-30 minutes and affording passengers a complete aerial view of their city.
The service begins at 9 am on each day but no clear end time has been stated.
“This will depend on the demand, weather conditions and number of chopper rides that can be carried out on the day. We will try our best to fulfil as many requests as we can,” said Uber’s Bhavik Rathod.
