Car of the year and SUV of the year: Hyundai Creta
The brand new Creta impressed us highly with the way it combines form and function. The eye catching SUV has a commanding presence and an inviting cabin with a rich feature set. It’s powerful but efficient engines score further brownie points as do the balanced driving characteristics. It’s the complete package.
Compact Car of the Year: Ford Figo Aspire
Ford has made a strong return statement with the new Figo Aspire. It may be Ford’s first compact sedan but has widely been rated a segment best. A strong and surprisingly efficient diesel engine and the choice of a dual-clutch automatic aren’t this car’s only strong points. It also offers an attractive design and comprehensive safety features all for a reasonable price.

The brand new Baleno boasts a new, lightweight platform and is one of the best efforts we have seen from the company in recent times. The C-Class offers unparalleled driver thrills with the usability of a sedan form factor. We love it!
Motorcycle of the year: Yamaha YZF-R3
The new Yamaha R3 impresses on every ground. It’s a great looking motorcycle and feels very high quality but those aren’t the reason why it’s our bike of the year. No that would be down to the performance from its powerful but beautifully refined parallel twin engine and the well dialed in chassis. It’s one of the nicest bikes we’ve ridden all year.
Scooter of the year; Hero Maestro Edge
The Hero Maestro Edge signals the Indian giant’s return to form and is a great looking scooter with a great feature set. We liked the performance from it’s new 110cc engine and found it quite efficient as well but most of all, we really enjoyed how well the chassis has been set up. This is a fun scooter that’s well made and competitively priced.
Import motorcycle of the year: Ducati Scrambler
The Ducati Scrambler may be the entry point into Ducati ownership but it’s a terrific motorcycle in its own right. One for the enthusiast, the Scrambler is a motorcycle that will never cease to entertain.
Performance bike of the year: Suzuki GSX-S1000
Suzuki’s new litre-naked packs a monstrous engine that provides eye-opening, exhilarating performance.
