New Delhi: Dairy firm Kwality Ltd reported 12 percent increase in net profit at Rs 36.12 crore for the quarter ended December, 2014, compared to Rs 32.13 crore in the year-ago period. [caption id=“attachment_2093597” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Courtesy Kwality[/caption] Net sales grew by 12.7 percent at Rs 1,286.11 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 1,141.07 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Commenting on the results, Kwality Executive Director Sidhant Gupta said: “Under the ongoing business transformation exercise, Kwality Ltd implemented key strategic initiatives to drive greater growth and better market penetration … Through this exercise we have delivered better performance and registered a growth of 12.7 percent.” The company is launching new dairy products backed by R&D and extensive market research. “We will intensify our efforts in expanding our network in the retail segment with improved market presence and capture increased revenue market share in new territories,” Gupta said. Kwality has six milk processing units in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. It sells dairy products under ‘Dairy Best’ brand. PTI
