Karnataka HC refuses to quash criminal cases against Vijay Mallya

The Karnataka High Court today refused to quash criminal cases filed against liquor baron Vijay Mallya by Income Tax Department for non-remittance of tax deducted at source by Kingfisher Airlines Limited (KFA).

Justice Nagamohan Das passed the order while dismissing the petitions filed by KFA and its chief Mallya.

A Special Economic Offences Court here had initiated criminal proceedings last year based on I-T Department’s three separate complaints.
