Hyderabad Angels invests Rs 15 crore in 12 start-ups in 2015-16

Hyderabad Angels (HA), invested around Rs 15 crore in a dozen start-ups in 2015-16.  “Currently, there are close to 100 investors including investors from US, Japan and Singapore with around 75 percent of them being active (at least in one or more investment). We expect to be at least 150 investors by end of this year,” said Pradeep Mittal, Chairman, Hyderabad Angels said.     [caption id=“attachment_1612537” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Thinkstock[/caption] HA expects to add another 12 companies to its existing portfolio during the current year. It says that data, analytics, IOT, fintech, edutech, healthtech, logitech, enterprise SaaS etc., are few of the sectors that will continue to attract investments from HA in the current startup market scenario, said P S Sreekanth, Investment Director Hyderabad Angles(HA). As part of pre-series ‘A’ investment, HA invested up-to $1 million and as part of seed round, it invests up-to $150 million. Based out of Hyderabad, HA taps investment opportunities across India, US, UAE and other countries globally and works closely with other early stage VCs, angel networks, accelerators and incubators across India and globally.
