The HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000c-series with 3PAR File Persona software comes with converged file and object-access alongside existing flash-optimised block storage; reducing datacenter footprint 66 percent.

HP 3PAR File Persona delivers Network File System, Common Internet File System and object access on new HP 3PAR StoreServ platforms. These new persona-enabled 3PAR StoreServ systems provide multi-protocol access to a single-shared capacity group for all workloads to boost utilisation and lower costs. All block, file, and object-access management is integrated within a new 3PAR StoreServ Management Console, which simplifies administration via a search-enabled dashboard and seamless HP OneView experience.

The new HP 3PAR StoreServ 7440c Converged Flash Array is a midrange-priced system that comes with unified access, 3.5 Petabytes usable capacity, all-flash optimised performance over 900,000 IOPs, tier-1 resiliency, and 16Gb Fibre Channel connectivity, cutting storage rack space requirements by 19x and reduce costs by 8x. Customers can configure the HP 3PAR StoreServ 7440c as an all-flash array or use a combination of flash and spinning media to lower costs to $1.70 per usable GB, the company said.
