Hitachi Data Systems appoints ex-Juniper exec Mark Ablett as APAC head

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has appointed Mark Ablett as senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific. Before joining HDS, Ablett was vice president of Australasia at Juniper Networks responsible for revenue growth and profitability across the region. Ablett, who brings over 20 years of sales and leadership expertise in the IT industry to the company, will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leading the company in its drive to capitalise on the fast growing opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, boosting revenue growth and expanding the business.
