Guess who is offering this IIM-Indore student Rs 53 lakh?

Guess who is offering this IIM-Indore student Rs 53 lakh?

A Singapore-based infrastructure advisory firm has recruited an IIM-Indore’s student for an annual package of Rs 53 lakh, where as the highest domestic offer of Rs32 lakh was made by a leading European investment bank.

“This international offering was made to a student of the 2010-2012 batch. A leading European investment bank has offered an annual package of Rs 32 lakh to another student,” a spokesman of IIM-Indore said here on Tuesday without revealing the identity of the companies and the students.

A total of 443 students completed IIM’s flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in 2010-2012, out of which 434 got the jobs in different sectors. This year a total of 138 companies participated in the placement process, he said. Last year, the maximum package offered to an IIM-Indore student was Rs 32 lakh per annum.The institute said nine students were not given offers by companies, which came in for recruitment drive.

Other companies that made lucrative offers are Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Standard Chartered, HSBC, ICICI, Axis Bank, Futures First, Yes Bank, CRISIL, RBI, SBI Caps, IDBI, ITC, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Vodafone, UB Group, IFFCO Dubai, Pidilite, TVS Motors, Berger Paints, and Idea.

Meanwhile, even IIM Raipur concluded the first ever final placement for the pioneering batch of 2010-12 students where the highest salary being offered is Rs 23 lakh. The average and median salaries are Rs. 12.94 lakh per annum and Rs. 12.62 lakh per annum respectively. The lowest salary accepted is Rs 8 lakh per annum.

Marketing is the most preferred profile among the students with 42 percent of the batch going for the same, with Finance coming in at second spot.

The highest salary being offered at IIM shillong too is Rs 19 lakh while the average salary is Rs. 12.01 lakh per annum and the median salary is Rs 11.67 lakh per annum.
