New Delhi: The Congress will gherao Parliament House on 18 July to protest against the Goods and Services Tax (GST), claiming that the implementation of the tax regime in its present form will affect traders as well as the common people. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ajay Maken made the announcement at a party meeting on Tuesday. Maken said that several lakh people demonstrated against the GST in Surat in Gujarat. Maken said Delhis traders were “fed up with the GST”. “Adverse impact of GST was not only affecting the traders, but also the common people,” he said.
