Google just leased a massive 4,30,000 sq ft office space in Gurgaon to expand India biz

In one of the largest transactions in NCR, Google, a known global trendsetter in workplace design, has leased a massive 4.3 Lakh square feet of office space from real estate developer Unitech in the second phase of its Signature Towers II project in Gurgaon. According to a report in the Economic Times , Google already has 1.6 lakh sq feet of space spread over eight floors in the same complex and will use the new space to expand its India business.  Google is also reportedly moving one of its existing offices in Udyog Vihar area of Gurgaon to this new facility. The ET report further said that Google has leased this space from Unitech at a rental of around Rs 130 per sq ft per month for nine years The existing Gurgaon facility already boasts of a a mini-golf course, a cricket pitch, napping pods, railway coach, massage and sauna rooms, a gym and lots of food at micro-kitchens. Google’s Hyderabad office has the same philosophy of making workplace  fun place and even has a slide to travel from the higher floors to the ground level.
