The NGO Connect initiative will also attempt to reach out to individuals and organisations, by integrating them with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aspirations of corporates, for attaining the goal of inclusive and sustainable development through collaborative arrangements.

Khambatta said that he “believes that whole nation should be working towards improving Human Development Index for India to embody the words of JRD Tata who said, “I want India to be a Happy Nation” and this would only happen if industry takes part in nation building through CSR activities in partnership with NGOs.”

Sanjay Modi, Managing Director, Monster.com (India/Middle East/ Southeast Asia) said that the partnership with CII is to create a platform to empower the differently abled and bringing newer better opportunities at their doorsteps. “At Monster we strongly believe in equal opportunity agenda. We are confident that this step will help these specially abled jobseekers to find better and right jobs,” Modi said.
