The big day is here. The results of the nearly six month long battle that has been India’s 2014 Lok Sabha elections will come out by the evening today. Even as political parties are keeping their fingers crossed,reports say the BJP is preparing for a major celebration.
Reports coming in from Uttar Pradesh say that party cadre in Kanpur from where Murli Manohar Joshi is in the fray have started bursting crackers. And at the party headquarters in Delhi. Sweets and firecracks have been ordered in huge quantities.
The markets are also preparing for a cracker of a day. While the minute by minute countdown has started here’s a ready reckoner to get you up to speed for the results.
There are 543 Lok Sabha seats up for grabs with over 8,000 candidates from more than a handful of significant parties vying for India’s Iron Throne.
