The Aam Aadmi Party has released its manifesto for the upcoming elections.
The manifesto has six main sections: swaraj; economy and ecology; national security; sports, culture and media; social justice; and education and health.
Some of the main economic highlights include:
To extend the minimum support price to 25 crops
To strictly implement minimum wages
To take steps to eliminate crony capitalism
To curb use of black money in real estate
To provide right to healthcare and education for all Indians
To introduce transparency in taxation policy
To invest in infrastructure in Tier II and Tier III cities and smaller towns
To make a concerted push for agricultural and small-scale industries
To promote shift towards renewable resources
To end contractual employment for jobs that require work to be done throughout the year. (Examples include doctors, nurses, teachers,etc.)
To encourage commercial exploitation of natural resources through a royalty and revenue sharing agreement with local communities
