Davos: Billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani today expressed RIL’s commitment to WEF network of young achievers - Global Shapers Community - and said the initiative would go further deep in the developing world.

“We at Reliance are very excited to support this commitment not only in India but across the world,” Ambani, who is India’s richest person, said at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meet here.
He was talking about the ‘Global Shapers Community’, which is one of the multi-stakeholder communities at the WEF.
This community is a network of hubs developed and led by young people, whose exceptional potential, can help in contributing to their communities. It is present across 205 cities with over 1,700 leaders under the age of 30 years.
Ambani-led Reliance Industries is a partner in the community along with DST Global and the Coca-Cola Company.
“In my years at WEF, we have partnered on many initiatives but global shapers is one that I am particularly enthused and so is everyone at Reliance because Reliance is an Indian company and India has a very huge young population,” Ambani said while speaking at the session on ‘Meeting Millennial Expectations’.
He is the Chairman & Managing Director of Reliance Industries.
“Walking with Coca Cola and Reliance, this initiative will go further deep, particularly in the developing world,” he said.
Coca-Cola chief Muhtar Kent thanked the Indian industrialist for Reliance’s support for the young global shapers community.
In today’s session, the Global Shapers Community was represented by Meghann Gunderman, Executive Director, The Foundation For Tomorrow, USA.
