Whether it is a keen business sense or unabashed awe, India’s entrepreneurs are making sure to cash in on brand NaMo.
The Economic Times reports that the latest entrant to the Narendra Modi merchandise catalogue is amobile app to aid in women’s safety.
Called, whatelse, NaMo, it has been created by a Facebook initiative that goes by the name _Modi-Fying India_and will be available on 8 March, to coincide with International Women’s Day.

“In a dangerous situation, all one needs to do is shake the mobile phone thrice within five seconds to activate the app,” Tajendarpal Singh Bagga, the man behind the Facebook initiative, told ET.
Once activated, the app will make emergency calls to pre-determined numbers and the police, using surrounding mobile towers to send out geographical coordinates.
