The Team Lease report notes that after a bearish sentiment in the previous half year (HY2: Oct-Mar 2014), businesses are optimistic about the employment outlook in the upcoming half year (HY1: Apr-Sep 2015). In fact, most respondents in their survey said that the forthcoming half year HY1 would see an increase in hiring needs across their organisations.

According to the report, most cities have a positive hiring outlook in the forthcoming half year. The graph shows that Bangalore will see a boost in their job market as compared to the previous year. Ahmedabad and Mumbai also see a 4 percent growth in their job outlook.

Earlier, Goldman Sachs, in its report had said that 40 million new manufacturing jobs can be created in a decade if states follow flexible labour laws like in Gujarat. Besides labour laws, implementation of proper reforms in other areas such as subsidies, can lead to overall job gains rising to 110 million over the next 10 years, the largest for any major economy, it had said.
