The global ultra-high net worth individual (UHNI) population is currently at record highs, withnearly 200,000 individuals collectively worth a jaw-dropping $28 trillion. The majority of the super rich reside in, as expected, in North America, followed by Europe and Asia.

The wealth transfer in the coming years from UHNW individuals is estimated to become the largest ever and the total wealth being transferred to the next generation in the next 30 years is expected to exceed $16 trillion (in 2013 dollars). That’s greater than the GDP of the United States, according to data compiled by Wealth-x, a research firm that tracks the wealth of UHNIs.
The countries expected to transfer the mostwealth(as a share of their current wealth) include France,Hong Kong and Italy.
