India’s beer exporters may have something to raise their glasses to as per the numbers released by APEDA Agri Exchange.
Here’s how overseas sales have been for India’s beer exporters over the last three years:
While Singapore has seen a drastic rise in exports since 2011, it saw demand peter a little during the past year.
However, value of the exports of the brew to the United Arab Emirates have risen quite significantly over the last two years. In fact over the last year, the value of the export to the middle eastern country almost doubled despite the change in the quantity being exported not rising as much.
This could also be because of the depreciation of the rupee against the dirham.According data available on XE.com, the Indian currency had hit a low of about 18 against the dirham in 2013.
Also apart from the two biggest markets, Indian beer exports have risen drastically in China and Japan, though the two Asian countries still don’t count in the top nations that India exports the brew to.
