Bickson will be replaced by Rakesh K Sarna, who was theExecutive Vice President, Group President - Americas, of HyattHotels Corporation. **New Delhi:**Tata group hospitality majorIndian Hotels Company (IHCL) today said its Managing Directorand Chief Executive Officer Raymond Bickson has resigned andwill step down from the post on August 31, after serving forover a decade.

Bickson will be replaced by Rakesh K Sarna, who was theExecutive Vice President, Group President - Americas, of HyattHotels Corporation.

“Raymond Bickson, MD and CEO of the company has expresseda desire to resign from the services of the company and pursuehis professional interests elsewhere,” IHCL, which runs luxuryhotels under the Taj brand, said in a filing to the BSE.While accepting the resignation, the Board of Directorsof the company approved the appointment of Sarna as MD andCEO, effective September 1, it said.

Sarna is a hospitality industry veteran, having spentover three decades with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation in thepast, IHCL added.Bickson joined IHCL board in January 2003 as Executive
Director and COO of Taj Luxury Hotels. He assumed the role asMD and CEO in July 2003.
