After multiple sales over the year in order to boost market share, SpiceJet today announced a new 'Festive Season Sale' which would offer tickets to destinations across the country with one way fares starting at Rs 1,888.
Under the scheme, flyers have to book their tickets between Monday and Wednesday (25 to 27 August) for boarding flights between 25 September and 15 January, 2015.
"The sale offer is applicable on all direct, via and onward flights on SpiceJet's domestic network," the airline said in a press release.
Additionally, the airline is also waiving the convenience fee for customers booking tickets using internet banking through itsofficial website. Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
The airline said the fares under this offer are non-refundable and cannot be changed. Only taxes and fees charged for the tickets can be refunded.
The fares charged under this offer are non-refundable and non-changeable (taxes and fees are refundable). Since there is limited inventory under the offer it will be available on first-come-first-served basis and is not applicable on group bookings.
Multiple sales over the last few months have helpedSpiceJet boost its market share, which was almost 21% and it cornered a fifth of the domestic aviation market in July.
Despite a quarterly net loss of Rs 124.10 crore for the period ending in June, the carrier said that its transformation is well under way, with rationalised capacity, massive productivity improvement, increased asset utilisation and cost reduction programme, among others.
