According to a company release, the three day special fare offer will be available for world-wide sale effective 16-18 September for travel between 16 October 2014 to 31 July 2015.

No end to fare wars:  Jet Airways slashes business class fares

It seems like the fare wars have no end, with Jet Airways announcing the launch of ‘The Great Premier Experience’ - a productthat promisesbusiness class seats at more affordable rates to flyers on domestic and international routes.

According to a company release, the three-day special fare offer will be available for tickets booked between16-18 September for travel between 16 October 2014 to 31 July 2015.

The scheme will be available for fliers on domestic routesbesides those flying to international destinations like Singapore, London, Toronto, Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong and Dammam. However, the offer is not available on Jet flights in and out of the airline’s Abu Dhabi gateway, the release said.

This move is likely to trigger a fare war in the business class segment with other airlines likely to follow suit in the ensuing days.

Here’s a quick look at what you will have to shell out to avail this scheme:

For instance, a Delhi-Singapore business class ticket is priced much lower at Rs 18,672 one way, while Mumbai-Singapore will now cost Rs 18,282. Similarly, travelling to Toronto will now cost Rs 44,688 (from Delhi) and to Brussels will cost Rs 27,727 from Mumbai.

On the popular London route, a ticket from Delhi will cost you Rs 28,382 while from Mumbai you would pay Rs 27,727.

To put this in perspective - the rates are now cheaper than economy tickets on the same route from Air India. For instance, anAir Indiaeconomy class ticket from Mumbai to London typically costs at Rs 32,678 one way, while to the same destination from Delhi costs Rs 35,432.

As for domestic destinations, Delhi-Bengaluru and Mumbai-Bengaluru cost Rs 9,016.

Earlier this month, Jet Airways rolled out Rs 500 fares for the economy class on its domestic flights for a limited period.
