US’ third-largest burger chain, Wendy’s, is likely to come to India in the first half of 2015.
According to a report in the Economic Times, Wendy’s hamburgers is tying up with Sierra Nevada, one of whose founders is the new owner of Barista Coffee.
Apart from Wendy’s, Sierra plans on bringing more global food brands into India, including Jamie’s Italian Restaurants, the report added.
Another report in DNA states that Rollatainers, one of India’s leading consumer packaging, restaurant and food services companies, owns 50% stake in Sierra Nevada, with the balance being held by International Market Management Ltd (IMM).
Earlier this month, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollatainers, Carnation Hospitality Pvt acquired India’s second largest coffee chain- Barista-from Lavazza.
