Hyundai Motor India (HMIL)today expanded its product portfolio in the country with thelaunch of new generation sports utility vehicle Sante Fe,priced between Rs 26.3 lakh and Rs 29.2 lakh (ex-showroomDelhi).
“The third generation Sante Fe is a world-class productand will set new benchmark in India’s SUV segment,” said HMILManaging Director and CEO B S Seo.
The vehicle, which is powered by a 2.2 litre engine wouldcome in three variants priced at Rs 26.3 lakh, Rs 27.1 lakhand Rs 29.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.The new Sante Fe comes with various features including sixairbags, emergency fastening device, flex steer system, amongothers.

With its Storm Edge design language, the new Santa Fe replaces the older model and competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Ssangyong Rexton and Chevrolet Captiva.
The company is looking at expanding its productportfolio to boost sales in India.HMIL is the second largest car maker in the country,after Maruti Suzuki.Yesterday, the South Korean firm had unveiled “Xcent”,its first compact sedan in India, which will be available from
next month onwards.Compact sedans and compact SUVs are the fast growingsegments in the 2.7 million Indian passenger car market.
