New Delhi: Maruti could pull a rabbit out of its hat with Celerio pricing. This car is expected to come with “introductory” prices from tomorrow.That is industry jargon for shockingly low prices to generate demand in a slowing market.
Maruti MD and CEO K Ayukawa said introductory prices would stay for some time for Celerio. This is Maruti’s first serious attempt at launching an automatic car for the mass market.
Ayukawa said “it is big challenge” that Maruti is taking but dismissed any nervousness on his part.

A lot is riding on the Celerio for Maruti and the car is widely expected to have some variants priced below Rs 4 lakh.
