PVR Cinemas, the largest cinema exhibition company in India has further strengthened its national presence by joining hands with Unitech to launch India’s largest multiplex-PVR’s first 15-screen Superplex.
PVR and Mexican family entertainment centres KidZania have tied up with International Recreation Parks Pvt Ltd (IRPPL)-a joint venture between Unitech Ltd and International Amusement Ltd (better known as Apu Ghar) to also open an indoor theme park in Noida, the company said in a release today.
The two transactions, spanning approximately 150,000 sq ft, will see the National Capital Region’s (NCR) global indoor theme park-KidZania-as well as its largest multiplex-PVR’s first 15-screen ‘Superplex’.
Dubbed as the biggest retail and leisure destination in the Delhi NCR, IRPPL’s Entertainment City, Noida, is expected to take the entertainment quotient of the country a few notches higher, with the launch of both these leisure and entertainment spaces.
The 147-acre entertainment development houses the first state-of-the-art Go-Karting track, trackless train transport system, and international rides along with the soon-to-be-launched premium shopping mall, Gardens Galleria, Noida, with parking facility for 11,800 cars.
A major highlight is Kidzania- an indoor family theme park which engages children between 3-14 years with environmental stewardship, career exploration and social consciousness activities.
Both the projects are expected to open by summer 2015.
Sanjeev Kumar, Director & Chief Executive Officer, KidZania India, said, “We are proud to bring to NCR with the support of IRPPL, a concept that will empower future generations and bring a fresh outlook in the kids’ edutainment space. KidZania is designed to help kids strengthen their abilities to manage their world by inspiring, educating, entertaining and empowering children through real-life role-play experiences.”
