New Delhi: To mitigate some inconvenience commuters may face during the two-day Bharat Bandh today and tomorrow, Olacabs-a private cab service aggregator of car rentals and point-to-point cab services-will offer its Bangalore, Delhi and Gurgaon patrons the service at a reduced price.

While the fares for these cabs is normally Rs. 21 per kilometre, the company is offering its passengers slashed fares - at par with auto fares auto fares -of Rs 8/km, during the two-day strike on Wednesday and Thursday (February 20-21). The strike which has seen autos kept off the roads, will be a little less severe for commuters using this service.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-founder and CEO, Olacabs said, “At Olacabs, we are committed to making ground transportation more comfortable and convenient for all commuters. A strike can cause substantial disruption for those who travel regularly by autos, which includes children, women as well as senior citizens. We are running all our cabs at auto fares on these two days because we want to ensure that regular life in the city is not hampered.”
