Budget 2016: 'Focus on ease of doing business; implement suggestions from tax panels'

The government has indeed improved the ease of doing business in the country. According to the World Bank ranking, India stands at 130 among the 189 countries this year, four spots higher from 134 last year.

The situation on ease of doing business has improved in India especially after setting up of various committees to look into the tax issues, said Ketan Dalal, senior tax partner, PwC India, adding that Shome and Easwar panel have come out will good reports and recommendations.

"One hopes that some of these recommendations will be implemented in the forthcoming budget," he said.
