When cartoons care enough to go bald

Recently, cancer charity Graacc in Brazil did something very moving for children suffering from the disease. The charity partnered with several rights holders of popular cartoons for one simple reason - to get the characters to go bald, in support of children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. What a heartwarming way to show young cancer patients that they aren’t alone, without evoking tears. Fighting a disease where positivity is of utmost importance is terrible enough, and a fun push towards evoking a smile goes a long way. And the smile is not just on the child’s face, but on the viewer’s face, too.
