Vodafone IPL campaign: ZooZoos get daring and fitter this week

Vodafone Zoozoo’s IPL campaign kicked off last week, and the brand has planned to release two new TVCs every week for the duration of the tournament.

This year, the ZooZoos are promoting their gamut of value-added services in the context of popular shows in India. The campaign has been created by Ogilvy India.

This week sees ‘ZooZoo Dare Show’ and ‘ZooZoo Fitness Show’ on air.

The first film opens to the ZooZoos in the setting of a challenge-based reality show. One ZooZoo is lying down in a glass box full of bugs and other creatures while another is pouring more creepy-crawlies into the box. Suddenly the contesting ZooZoo’s phone buzzes with a new message; he checks in, punches in a few keys and lies down again. He motions for the other ZooZoo to pour more bugs on him. The end slate says, “Pay your bill from anywhere”, revealing that this ad is for the Vodafone mobile app.

‘ZooZoo Fitness Show’ opens to five ZooZoos indulging in aerobics with the help of music on a tape recorder. Suddenly, the recorder breaks down. One of them kicks it and the recorder begins working again. The end slate appears, saying “Get your internet speed back’, revealing that this is a TVC for Vodafone’s internet booster pack service.
