This is the first time since 2005 that Ronald McDonald has had a change of style. In fact, another costume for special days comprises a bright red blazer, golden arches on the pocket and McDonald’s signature on the back.

The new costume has been created by Ann Hould-Ward, aTony award-winning theatrical designer, and took up to two years to make. The mascot will still have his big red shoes on, but will have ‘more coiffed’ hair and toned-down make up.
