Samsung: Every day is day one

Here’s a lovely 2.19 minute spot from Samsung Mobile. It marks the launch of the Association of Surfing Professionals’ World Tour, and tells viewers that for a surfer ’every day is day one’. The ad is full of exquisitely shot scenes, some exhilarating, some frightening, some just plain beautiful. The juxtaposition of the high-intensity surfing with the soothing soundtrack is also well-done. Watch it here!

Toyoto: Do the Wakudoki

We’re still not entirely sure how much we understood this ad, but we do know for certain that it is slightly bizarre. Think Japanese-people-meet-Cadbury’s-gorilla-meets-George-of-the-Jungle, to know what to expect. The song used in the ad is a guaranteed earworm, which makes this ad memorable. It’s just best you watch the ad without further ado.

Peanut Butter Cheerios: #HowToDad

Here’s a fun commercial showing viewers the fun side to dadhood. Let this commercial also be a how-to guide for fathers, while we’re on the subject. Maybe, just maybe, the brand connect could have been stronger, but there’s really no particular cause to complain. Finally, here’s a dad who isn’t ’the cool best friend’ and neither the typical stiff-collared disciplinarian. Watch the ad below:

Playboy Generation for him: Party

Here’s the third commercial in Playboy’s ‘Press to Play’ series. The premise is exactly the same - what happens next if you wear a Playboy Fragrance? Press to play and find out! This one is unabashedly tongue-in-cheek, and continues the proposition very well. Press play below to watch the ad!
