Fox Star India gets a new CMO in the form of Shikha Kapur

Shikha Kapur has joined Fox Star India as its new chief marketing officer. She comes with over a decade of experience in film marketing. In her new stint, Kapur will be marketing the studio portfolio across Hollywood, Bollywood and Tamil, in addition to handling the Syndication business too. She will report to Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India.

Commenting on her appointment, Singh said, “Shikha has proven herself to be the best marketing professional in the film business in India. A remarkable strategist, innovator and an effective team leader, she has played a critical role in driving a series of successful marketing campaigns that have set new trends in the industry. Her depth of experience along with her relationships in the industry combine wonderfully well with the vision we have of making Fox Star Studios a premiere studio in India. Shikha will be working closely with me and the senior management as we embark on this exciting journey.”

Previously, Kapur has also headed marketing for Studios, Broadcasting and the Interactive business at Disney India; she served as the VP and president of the company. She is well-known for being one of the key persons behind the UTV Motion Pictures brand and has been credited for the marketing campaigns of Bollywood films such as Chennai Express, Rowdy Rathore, Barfi!, Raajneeti, Rang De Basanti, Fashion, Kaminey amongst others.
