Camlin has unveiled a new campaign to promote its range of 2 mm mechanical pencils. The TVC, which has been conceptualised by RK SWAMY, aims to highlight the benefits of a Camlin mechanical pencil over wooden ones. The premise of the campaign is that a Camlin mechanical pencil is like a race car while a normal, wooden pencil is a ‘khataara’ (an old, broken down car).
The film is set in a classroom, where children are taking an examination. The teacher signals that time’s almost up, and a student tells her to hold on for just a minute while he tries finishing his paper in a hurry. But to his dismay, the point of his wooden pencil gives way. His bench partner tells him to leave his old wooden pencil behind and use a Camlin 2 mm Mechanical Pencil which is almost like a race car. The former boy chucks his wooden pencil and takes the Camlin.
