Winshuttle To Invest $1 Mn For India Development Centre

Winshuttle Inc, USA, shall be investing $1 million for its development centre in India in the current FY, as per an announcement made by its CEO and co-founder Vikram Chalana.

Founded in 2003 by Dr Vikram Chalana, and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA, Winshuttle is a provider of user-enabled data management applications for use with SAP.

Winshuttle’s office in the IT Park, Chandigarh, is the R&D arm of the company that develops software products to enable large companies using SAP (ERP software) to transfer data back and forth from normal Windows-based applications like Excel and Access.

“There are over 46,000 SAP installations all over the world, and at the moment we have been able to tap only one percent of the entire market with our innovative solution, which affords huge opportunity for the company to grow,” said Vishal Chalana, director, Engineering Services, who holds the fort in the local development centre.

The company is looking for newer space to accommodate more engineers required to meet the growing demand for its products, and intends to double its turnover from the current $5.5 million, in this financial year.
