Western Digital has announced that all models of its My Book dual-drive storage appliances are now available in capacities up to 2 TB (terabyte). The new 2 TB capacity is now available on WD’s My Book World Edition II, My Book Pro Edition II, My Book Premium Edition II models.
“The explosive growth in devices that create rich multimedia content – from digital cameras to music players to digital video camcorders – continues to drive consumers’ insatiable demand for more storage capacity. The popular My Book family of external drives delivers peace of mind in a simple solution that can provide remote access, sharing, protection and storing of precious files,” said Sharad Srivastava, sales director, South Asia and India, Western Digital.
The system can be set by users to reserve half of its capacity to mirror users’ data in real time using RAID technology.
