VLCC Healthcare Limited, an Indian health and beauty chain, has announced an engagement with Wipro Infotech, the India, Middle East and APAC business unit of Wipro Limited, as the technology partner for driving the transformational initiatives. The first phase of this transformation will be an enterprise-wide SAP rollout. VLCC has set a target of reaching annual revenue of Rs. 10 billion in next 3 years, towards which it has earmarked an investment of Rs 150 million for its IT initiatives.
Speaking on the engagement, Mukesh Luthra, Chairman & Managing Director, VLCC Health Care Ltd., said “The collaboration with Wipro is a part of the company’s vision to adopt best-in-class technology practices and implement innovative business processes. That would help us meet the changing demands of our customers and at the same time ensuring the continuation of our growth rate. Over last four years, we have grown at over 40% CAGR.” Luthra further added, “These transformational initiatives will enable VLCC to deliver even more improved products and services to our customers and further strengthen our leadership position in the industry.”
As the first step towards this engagement, Wipro Infotech will implement four key SAP modules, namely Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Financial Accounting and controlling (FICO) and Project Systems (PS). These modules will be implemented across all the business verticals of the VLCC group, such as VLCC centres, personal care products manufacturing and retailing arm and the Education services. This roll out will cover over 140 locations in 70 cities across India, UAE and Nepal.

As part of this Transformation initiative, VLCC will also install network-wide state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities. Moreover, a centralised customer relationship management (CRM) system will be deployed. Elaborating on the IT initiative, Narinder Kumar, Group CFO of VLCC, said “We are targeting to go live on SAP in a record time.” He further added, “We are in a business where the accuracy of the data is of utmost importance to us. This SAP roll out will ensure greater accuracy of data, easy access to real-time detailed data and give deliver ROI.
